Hello Webstudio

At a glance

The community member is trying to publish a site on their own domain and is getting an error when trying to create a CNAME record, stating that there are other records for the subdomain. The community members suggest that the issue may be that the community member is trying to connect a domain instead of a subdomain, as CNAME records are typically used for subdomains. They also mention that the community member could try using an A record instead. The community members provide some additional resources, such as a link to a discussion on a similar issue with GoDaddy, but there is no explicitly marked answer.

Hello webstudio

I'm trying to publish a site on my own domain and I get an error when publishing the CNAME
"Can not create CNAME record for this subdomain becouse exists other records for it"

there are no other CNAME records for the domain.
What could be the problem?
how can I contact support?

We don't actually offer support as part of the subscription service. Its stated on the pricing page. But we do try to help our users as much as possible, also the community is often helping as well.
Problems with registrars are difficult because we don't have any info and no access to your registrar.
Usually if you go through our tutorials and/or google you will be able to sort this out
we have quite a few videos in the docs about it
In this case, I think the problem is that I am trying to connect a domain and not a subdomain.

A record of the CNAME type is registered only for a subdomain.

Checked with both my name provider and digitalocean - CNAME to @ domain is not allowed^ only to subdomain.

Webflow also does it via A record as I remember.
