Seeking Guidance on Incorporating Custom Animations in Webstudio

At a glance

The community member is a designer with limited technical expertise who is seeking guidance on incorporating custom animations into their website using Webstudio. They have found the transition from Webflow, where adding custom code was straightforward, to Webstudio to be quite challenging. The community member has compiled their animation codes in a Notion document and is wondering if their understanding that Webstudio is more developer-friendly is correct. They also inquire about the possibility of Webstudio introducing a built-in CMS, as they are finding it difficult to use third-party CMS solutions with their basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.

The comments suggest that HTML embed should work on a similar complexity level as in Webflow, and that external CMS requires more knowledge. One community member notes that clients don't set up CMS, the designer/developer does, and once it's set up, using the CMS is easy for the client. Another community member suggests that a small website doesn't need a CMS, and Webstudio has a content block for client-friendly content editing. The comments also discuss the use of WordPress as a headless solution, where it can handle the posts functionality or plugin functionality, while Webstudio can handle the visually friendly design elements.

Useful resources
Hi everyone, I want to express my sincere appreciation to the Webstudio team for developing such an amazing tool. It's been a fantastic resource
As a designer with limited technical expertise, I'm reaching out for some guidance on incorporating custom animations into my website using Webstudio. I've been working on this for 3-4 days, but I'm finding it quite challenging. Previously, as a big fan of Webflow, I found adding custom code to be straightforward and easy. However, transitioning to Webstudio has posed some difficulties for me.
I have compiled all my animation codes in a Notion document, hoping this might help in resolving the issue. Is my understanding incorrect in thinking that Webstudio is more of a developer-friendly tool? Also, I'm curious if there are any plans to introduce a built-in CMS within Webstudio. Given my basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, I'm finding it difficult to use third party CMS solutions. How can clients effectively utilize CMS with their websites?
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice you can offer.

On mobile it needs optimization its a bit laggy
Hi, HTML embed should work more or less on the same complexity level as in webflow
External cms requires more knowledge, yes.
How can clients effectively utilize CMS with their websites?

Clients don't set up CMS, designer/developer does. Once its setup using CMS is easy for the client.
A small website doesn't need a cms though and we have content block for client-friendly content editing.
CMS is what it says it is, a content management system. I'm totally converted to thinking of Wordpress as a headless solution. It can handle the posts functionality, or plugin functionality, but Webstudio can handle the sleek, visually friendly design elements
